The essence of health lies in the balance of Yin and Yang.

“Western medicine focuses on treating and alleviating symptoms, which aligns with the trends and changes of today’s modern lifestyle. Meanwhile, Japanese traditional medicine (Kanpo) enhances the body’s natural healing abilities, thereby minimizing and addressing symptoms. While the causes of illnesses may change over time, it is crucial to find ways to treat them effectively. With the power of Kanpo, we can improve health and quality of life, not only reducing illness but also strengthening the body’s immunity”.
JAPANESE TRADITIONAL MEDICINE – KANPO HERBAL APPLICATION
Kanpo in Japan has a long and fascinating history.
Kanpo in Japan has a rich and fascinating history, representing a blend of Chinese and Japanese medicine. It originated in China and was introduced to Japan around the 7th-8th century.
The term “Kanpo” in Japanese means “Chinese method,” composed of “Kan” (China) and “Po” (method), referring to the Chinese medicine and healing methods brought to Japan. Japanese scientists extensively studied and optimized Kanpo, leading to a diverse approach to healing and intelligent combinations of herbal remedies. The core principles from China were retained, but Japanese Kanpo has been uniquely refined to meet the needs and health conditions of the Japanese people. Japanese scientists, doctors, and pharmacists conducted numerous scientific and clinical studies on the effectiveness and application of Kanpo, achieving significant successes and ushering in a new era of natural healing.
This method of treatment is recognized for its safety and effectiveness, with a focus on maintaining natural balance in the body. Utilizing more than 400 different herbs, Kanpo creates diverse formulas to balance the concepts of “Yo” (Yang energy) and “In” (Yin energy) within the body, supporting self-healing and promoting optimal health. Throughout Kanpo’s development and modern application, its historical heritage and uniqueness have been preserved.
With over 1,400 years of history, Japanese Kanpo remains an essential part of Japan’s traditional medical system and continues to play a vital role in maintaining the health of both the Japanese people and others around the world today.
